The Delmarva Power ENERGY STAR® for New Homes Program supports the residential new construction industry in building increasingly energy efficient homes and dwelling units in eligible multifamily low-rise buildings within the Delmarva Power service territory. To achieve this goal, the Program offers technical and sales/marketing training and support as well as the following incentives to homebuilders for homes and units that meet and exceed the Environmental Protection Agency's (EPA) ENERGY STAR Certified Homes requirements.

For Homes permitted ON or AFTER April 1, 2015, the following incentive structure will be in place:

• Multifamily Low-Rise: $400 for ENERGY STAR v3.1 certified dwelling unit with 90% Energy Efficient Lighting.
• 2-on-2 Condo: $550 for ENERGY STAR v3.1 certified unit with 90% Energy Efficient Lighting.
• Townhouse: $750 for ENERGY STAR v3.1 certified unit with 90% Energy Efficient Lighting.
• Single Family: $1250 for ENERGY STAR v3.1 certified unit with 90% Energy Efficient Lighting.
• Smart Thermostat: $100 for each eligible smart thermostat installed with a program eligible ENERGY STAR Certified home (up to 4 smart thermostats)

Homes permitted prior to April 1st, 2015 may be eligible for participation on a case by case basis. Please contact account manager for review and pre-approval.

Version 3.1 of the ENERGY STAR Certified Homes Program has been developed for jurisdictions that have adopted the 2012 IECC, or equivalent. For counties that have not yet adopted the 2012 IECC, the minimum requirements for participation after April 1st, 2015 will be ENERGY STAR Version 3.0 and 90% Energy Efficient Lighting.

The current Program cycle is from January 1, 2018 through December 31, 2018. Applications for Delmarva Power’s ENERGY STAR for New Homes Program are accepted for each calendar year (i.e. 2018) and should be for homes that will be completed within the year the application is submitted.
